Besides tasting one of the 7 Gastronomy Wonders of Portugal, the juicy and luscious suckling pig which Bairrada is very famous for, you should also pop by the great fresh seafood and fish restaurants along the coast.

Finally, think of the stunning, palaces and manors many of which are more than several hundred years old, now transformed into luxury hotels and spas.  Bairrada is definitely a wine region you will not want to miss!

Caves São João is the oldest company, still in operation, in the county of Anadia. Since 1920, it is one of the most well-known and distinctive wine producers from the Bairrada region.
