Harvest Experiences to Enjoy in Portugal

29th August, 2025

The grape harvest is the most important moment in the winemaking calendar. It represents the culmination of a whole year’s work in the vineyards. For producers, it is the decisive stage that defines the quality and style of the wines that will reach the market. For wine lovers, it is the chance to experience the magic of turning grapes into wine, actively taking part in each step of the process through the harvest experiences offered by wineries in Portugal.

From north to south of Portugal, estates open their doors to visitors, allowing everyone to experience not only the grape picking and traditional grape treading, but also the culture and gastronomy that form part of the country’s identity.

Discover a selection of harvest experiences, available across different regions of Portugal, which you can book through Wine XP.
