Quinta da Boa Esperança, has been making wine for over 100 years by local people who know the vineyards, the land, the climate, and the soil. Sustainability and respect for the vineyards are some of the most important aspects in the production of these exquisite wines.
The 11 hectares of vines in organic production are in a straight line of 15km towards the sea. They benefit from the high temperatures and sun exposure of the Monte Junto mountain, but also from this proximity to the sea, which creates ideal conditions for the best grapes.
Sustainability is key at this winery and they show this through hard work on the vineyard throughout the year (with minimal intervention) and culminate with the manual harvest. Annual production is around 130,000 bottles of white, red and rosé wines (15 types of wine), the main grape varieties being Fernão Pires, Arinto, Sauvignon Blanc and Alvarinho.
Quinta da Boa Esperança is 45 minutes away from Lisbon and also offers a series of wine tourism experiences, such as wine tastings or a meal with ingredients coming directly from the garden and chicken coop to your plate, as well as guided tours of the estate.
