This unique experience allows visitors to be part of the harvest team of Quinta S. João Batista. You will be attending all the processes of grape harvesting, from picking the grapes to foot treading, including a winery tour and visit to the barrel room, as well as a workshop demonstration to learn about the different stages of winemaking for white, red and rosé wines. Finally you will finish with a lunch which will include snacks to start, grilled meats and vegetables, and finish with chocolate or almond cake and local specialities served with a tasting of premium wines and some fermenting must.
The afternoon will be relaxing in the garden, the cellars, with a DJ, games and some competitions to encourage a fun atmosphere for all! You will toast with a special wine which will be accompanied with a meat snack thought out for this occasion.
11:00 Meet at Quinta S. João Batista for the visitor´s welcome and details of the day which will also include some surprises! The day will finish around 19h30.
Note: this event is only available during the harvest on 6 September. Price for children 6-14 years is reduced to 30 euros and for 15-18 year olds it is 40 euros.
